New Kid on The Search Engine Block

Amazon has a pretty good search engine.

For those of us who are feeling like avoiding Google, MSN and (of course) Yahoo!, try http://a9.com.

Hopefully Amazon hasn't, and won't, fall prey to the same corruption of its competitors.

a9 searches the web using windows live, so if you are avoiding Microsoft, a9 is not the way to do that.

I'll stick with Google for now...They haven't shut anyone down, and at least put a disclaimer on the bottom of the page. Also, proxies are available to get "real" Google search results, but that's slower.

I guess this is just a whole "lesser of many evils" conundrum.

There's also Generic A9 (http://generic.a9.com/). At least you can use that without having to sign up.

Anyone use Turbo10 and/or know anything about issues related to it? It's been a favorite of mine.
