And MSN too?

MSN is now enthusiastically playing ball with Chinese in censoring blogs. This story has just developed.

I will be rethinking about what action to take on this. Stay tuned.

Re legal concerns about your "booYahoo" shirts: This seems similar to something I recently looked into, where a "Ballysucks" website successfully defended against a legal assault by the huge Bally Corp. (see Northridge / Bally Ethical Breaches; search "sucks" on that page if you're in a hurry).

Reporters without Borders identified 6 Net Freedom offenders:
- Yahoo
- Microsoft/MSN
- Google/Google News
- Cisco
- Fortinet
- Secure Computing

The first four were tagged with China, Fortinet with Burma, and Secure Computing in Tunisia.

Worth mentioning that RConversation is on this, as Rebecca can be counted on for anything China related.

I posted on this with a modest proposal that the U.S. government take a moral position on this: Any company that wants to deal with tyrants and despots won't be dealing with the U.S. government.
